….or do you prefer grapefruit…?
sorbet – a fruit or vegetable ice, often served served between courses to refresh the palate
pomelo – the very large, yellow or orange citrus fruit of a tree, Citrus maxima, of South East Asia, closely related to the grapefruit.
grapefruit – a large, roundish, yellow-skinned, edible citrus fruit having a juicy, acid pulp; the tropical or semitropical tree, Citrus paradisi
Combine 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water
simmer 3 – 4 minutes
cool completely, then add 1 1/2 cups pomelo juice and 1 tablespoon pomelo zest
pour into freezer bowl and let mix for 25 – 30 minutes until slushy
serve with fresh basil leaf
verdict: I alone liked the pomelo sorbet better. Three to one in favor of grapefruit!!!
Sounds delightful and looks beautiful. xo
