As anticipation has now turned to recollection and reflection, we begin a new chapter in our lives. Change is an integral part of and constant ingredient in the human condition.
So embrace the seasons of life!
My response is to change and grow with the seasons. What more fun way than to change up my surroundings and make them new again. All summer I have worked outside in anticipation of the wedding, so today I decided on a fresh look for my dining room and set about gathering blue.
English transferware
a tiny chippy French enamel child’s cup
a small crazed cup, beautifully detailed
blue jay feathers gathered with my granddaughter on walks in the orchard
a rusted metal dragonfly with blue understones
a blue and white Les Indiennes print lampshade from
Rooms & Gardens
random blue-themed bottles left from the wedding bar
-pieces hand-carried home from a trip to China-
-some vintage blue willow-
Viola!……….the end result
all complimenting my ‘new’ found chandelier
If you are in a season of change, feeling the need to refresh your surroundings, I’d love to help!
