Thankfully re-celebrating

As we gathered with part of our family on Thanksgiving Day, we not only gave thanks for God’s amazing provision for our lives…food, shelter, meaningful work…. but also in our lives…. re-celebrating weddings and a birth.

Tables were covered with the cloth used in July for the wedding aisle

we were surrounded by olive bushes from the reception, adorned with found bird’s nests from the orchard

herbs from the garden – parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, bay and garlic

were used to flavor a spatchcocked turkey

served with, dressing, mashed potatoes, yams, brussel sprouts, risotto, dill bread, corn bread, fresh cranberry sauce (as well as cranberry jelly complete with the markings of the can for a cranberry challenged family member), gravy (lots of it, even though the family member with gravy scarcity issues was not there) and pineapple custard

followed by apple custard pie

food, love, laughter and song,

all nourishment for body and soul!
