Update from the Wolery…episode 16b

…in which there were three

At nearly the same time each evening the owls appear, most times gliding in from the south over the house.  Flying between box and oak, they occasionally take longer forays over the field in search of dinner.  Last night, just as our owl couple was settling in for the night, with one inside the box and the other on its roof, a third owl appeared!!!  The reception was anything but friendly with much squawking and flapping of wings.  The interloper vanished, the defenders retired to the box and all was quiet….so anxious to see the next episode!!!
