‘Have nothing in your home which you do not find useful and/or believe to be beautiful’

Decorating our tree with spoons this past Christmas set me to searching for all my options.
Some were tucked away in lovely hand-embroidered flannel holders,
others, a bouquet on the table ready to use.
I unearthed souvenir spoons,
Minnehaha Falls, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Mt. Vernon, SD
– the pattern is ‘Mount Vernon’ by Lunt – my father was born in Mt. Vernon, South Dakota –
the Court House, Redfield, SD
iced tea spoons,
and spoons with ornately carved bowls, their intended uses long forgotten.
Some years ago I decided to use my heirloom sterling and silver plate on a daily basis. Washing by hand is required – the joy of use far outweighs the inconvenience!!!
Do you know the uses for these spoons……..I would love to hear from you!!!
